Roger Scott Receives 2010 NSA President’s Award

Sheriff John Zaruba (NSA President 2009-2010) awarded the President’s Award
to Sheriff Roger Scott of DeKalb County Illinois.

Sheriff Scott has dedicated his life to his community and to children through foster care and adoption along with his wife Marcia. Sheriff Zaruba considers Sheriff Scott to be a natural leader who brings out the best in those he leads. He also treats all the citizens of DeKalb County equally regardless of their political or economic status. He maintains an, “open door policy to all who stop by. He views his Office as a distinct honor to serve, even on “bad days”. He also proudly carriers a Smith and Wesson revolver every day. He strives to promote the ideals and the mission of the Illinois Sheriff’s Association and the National Sheriff’s Association and considers his fellow Sheriffs a true brotherhood in law enforcement.
